Subject: question about body morphs

tradivoro ( ) posted Tue, 04 March 2014 at 11:17 AM · edited Thu, 19 February 2026 at 12:00 PM

I don't know if I'm not using the right language, or if there's different terminology.  I've done a search for using morphs, applying morphs, I get all kinds of stuff except how to do this.

I haven't used poser in years, and I'm trying to create a character using a character that I purchased in the marketplace.  I'm reminding myself how to use the program as I go along.  I'm using Poser 7

so, here's my question.  this particular character has body morphs.  All I want to do is apply the morphs to Victoria 4.2 (I got that part, bringin in V4.2 into poser).   I just want to apply the morphs to the body.

If somebody knows how, or can direct me to a tutorial, I would greatly appreciate it.  thanks in advance.

V 4 comes with an addon known as morphs++ that you have to apply to her BEFORE you attempt to apply any other morphs to her. If you don't have the morphs++, you have to purchase it.

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

Body morphs from other models will not translate well, you really need the dedicated morphs designed for the particular model you are intending to use.  As rokket posted, V4 does come with her own Morph++ package which gives her an extensive base of different shapes and looks.  The Muscle and Elite packages add further enhancements and definitions.

Depending what details you would like to dial in from the other model, the packages I mentioned should get you reasonably close.

thanks for the replies hborre, and rokket.  I will look into the morph++ that you refer to rokket and use that first.

I guess my next question is, if the creator of character says that this morph is for V4.2 and this is what it says for the morphs

1 head Inject & Remove

1 Body Inject & Remove

After I applied the morphs++,  then I can apply the new morphs?  Is the term that is used inject?  sorry if this sounds simplistic, but I don't know if I'm using the right language.

If I understand the question correctly, yes. In fact, many V4 characters require Morphs++. I have V4 with a ton of third party morphs.

thanks.  I'll look at Victoria related folders and find the morph++ first and take it from there.
