Subject: Exciting new modeling tool released! "Scanr" for Sketchup and Mouse
That's a neat concept. Although I bet you half the people who try it out, the first thing they scan will be their groin.
I downloaded a trial of this from a Russian site and am attempting to scan my groin now.
DO NOT SCAN YOUR GROIN!!!
The current Scanr beta is infected with the Conficker worm, so now my "valuables" are being held for ransom by the Russian Mafia. The good news is, once I come up with the $1M to pay the ransom, they have promised that it will be "like nuclear m1ss1le" and that I will be able to "make her cl1m4x 4 hours!!!".

I took a laptop with an optical mouse attached into my garage and within less than 5 minutes had scanned my BMW X5.
I converted the scan into obj format and now have a model of my car that works in Poser 8 (beta).. see render above.
The doors, hood, boot, etc all open.. the lights work... even the horn works..!

I have just heard that Smiff Micro are releasing an adapter so that 2 wireless mouses... mice... meece.. can be attached to a pair of binoculars for faster scanning at greater distances.

a telescope adapter... so that you will be able to go out into the garden on a clear night and scan Uranus in all its glory. Will be able to convert to an obj so that you will be able to manipulate and morph Uranus to your hearts content within Poser.

I have developing advance softwares that allowing to do 3D body scan from picture. For these days only I am doing for free scan to hirez Poser model of Viktoria. Ladies to be sending me please pictures of yourself in nude many angles and I will send morph file back. Also scan you for virus, no charge. More picture showing, more better result. Can also put to you male organ of Mike if you wanting to make sex change.

While attempting to scan my groin I became somewhat distracted. I don't know how well the model came out but I did enjoy the process a whole lot. I would recommend this plugin to anyone.

Cadyou.com is proud to announce it's first, free Sketchup plugin "Scanr". In development for the 3 months this plugin will allow you to use any optical mouse as a simple 3d scanner, enabling small objects to be scanned directly into the Sketchup software!
Optical mice work by detecting small differences in the surface of your desk as you move them. By directly accessing the optical 'eye', this unique plugin can capture 3d forms from the light and shade cast as you move the mouse around an object.
In addition we expect to release an update later this month which will allow laptop owners to use the software simply by rubbing an object over the surface of their trackpad!
We can't wait to see what people will do with this ability. "Scanr" will be released on April 2nd as a free download, only on cadyou.com."
