Subject: Buying Vue 7 Esprit in boxed form?

JohnDoe641 ( ) posted Tue, 17 March 2009 at 1:25 AM · edited Mon, 18 September 2023 at 11:43 AM

I tried searching and I either failed at it or there is nothing on the subject. I've seen some of the amazing renders done in Vue and I really wanted to buy Espirit but I have a severe dislike for simply downloading programs. I don't have the Hard Drive space and I like having a physical product to hold. I see that the more expensive versions of Vue 7 come in a boxed form, yet when I went to order Esprit all the options pointed to a download instead of a boxed version.

A quick google search brought up two sites that supposedly sell the boxed version of Esprit.

http://www.novedge.com/products/3301

and

http://www.softwarebox.de/products/en/Software/2D-3D-CAD/Landscape-Modelling/Vue-7-Esprit-DVD-Box-PDF-Handbuch-CD-DVD-Mac-Win-EN.html

I did a google search again with the sku of VUE7ESP-STD-RPK-DVD-US and that brought up the same things, so I don't know what to think.

Help! D:

Thanks.

Indeed there seems to be only a download version in the e-on site. All the Esprit versions have the word "download" in front. However, they do talk about shipment, so I'm not sure, maybe the word download shouldn't be there and the decision is made during the ordering process. I think your best thing to do is contact a sales rep. They're normally fast and probably will answer in 24 hours or less. In e-on's site, go to Customer Care -> Contact a sales rep.

I agree that downloads are troublesome, so I only by boxed software.  I think that Safe Harbor has a boxed Vue7 Esprit.  sharbor.com

I called the customer service and they said that they plan on releasing a boxed version of Esprit in the near future. I'll wait since I'd prefer the cd/dvd version. :)
