the last crewman of HMS Hood, Ted Briggs has passed away aged 85. He was one of only 3 that survived HMS Hood's sinking after she engauged the Bismark in May 1941.

this also closes a chapter of my family's history since my Great Uncle was serving on Hood as well. He remains sailing with her.
