Hi all!

My question is propably not new I searched the forum and the Internet but I can't find any good tutorial which explains how to create your own face in Poser 6.

So can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there wolfshape!

There are a lot of ways to make face changes to a character in Poser 6. For example you could click on the face room tab and play with the face in there. Also textures that you apply to the character give it a different look.
Morphs are another way to change a character into your own.

What exactly are you going for? There are lot of different terms that can be used to explain.. If you give some more details on  what your trying out, I'm sure the good folks here will pipe in to assist  and give you some great advice and links.

Hi!

Thanks for your quick reply!

Okay, I am trying to create me and my dog into a virtual space with Poser after that the movie will be imported in Vue. I understand my question is a really open one... So first I wanted to concentrate on the face. So how to put my face on JamesCasual? I allready tried playing with the Face tab and loaded pictures from myself (front and side) into Poser. After trying to make the right settings, my face appeared to like an alien. So if anyone wants to know how to create an alien, please ask for my pics :-)

Greetings and I hope I am more clear now,

Marco

You probably already looked at that. There is another good tut on the face room out there, but I cant find it in my list  :(

Yes you have to use James. Or one of the Poser characters. The face room doesn't work with characters such as those from Daz.

I've never had any luck using the face room, especially with a photograph. I think the dementions and angles are too difficult for me to achieve.  But others might have suggestions on this.

Personally, the best results I had trying to make characters look like peeps I know is to get out a picture and morph the heck out of the Poser character until it looks like them. Using this method would point you into the direction of gathering "how to use morphs" info.

Hi!

Thanks for the link + info. I am going to study the morph-thing...

Hope it will work me!

If someone else has more tutorials, I am very curious to it :-)

Here for a good laugh, the alien picture :-)

Attached Link: Another stupid question: Is there an easy way to copy a face in posette?

On Mar 1, 2006, I made a similar request here in the forum.  If you follow the linked thread, you'll see how I went about teaching myself to morph a face to look like someone I know. Yours truly, David P. Hoadley

Hi David,

Thanks for your comment.

I did try with lots of lights and a white background again to photograph myself.

This time the results are much better.

See for your self!

So my advice for people which have the same problems are:

  • Make sure the lightning is more then enough.
  • Use photoshop!
  • Make lots and lots of pictures, only the best is good enough.
  • Use a white background.

And last:

  • Don't give up!

Greetings and in the future I probably have another question.

Marco

I think you'll have better face room success with the included P5 figures.
