Subject: Vue 6 : Pro versus Infinite - what is the difference going to be, exactly?

arcady ( ) posted Tue, 19 September 2006 at 7:47 PM ยท edited Sun, 24 May 2026 at 9:06 PM

As per the subject line, how exactly will they differ?

Pro seems to be getting a lot of things that were once infinite, so what will still be different?

The final comparison chart has not been posted yet.

No theories or speculation? I haven't been able to figure anything out from the site myself...

Looks like ecosystems will be an expansion module for Pro Studio, but the Vue5 ecosystems, not the new Vue6 painted ecosystems, and all the new controls over them. Must be something elso too, but we'll have to waith for the comparison charts.

It seemed to indicate that ecosystems was included by default. But nothing on what version of ecosystem. Did you find something somewhere other than the promotional website?

I don't think ecos are included by default, you need to buy an expansion pack, but not sure. But it's definitely ecosystems1, painting ecos will be Infinite only.

I checked e-on's site again, and you were right, ecosystems1 are included in ProStudio.

I remember from my 5 ProStudio days, that even if mover and hypervue were available, there was no wind possible, and network render was for animations only, so maybe it will be the same with the Vue6 line.
