Import the .obp into the Bryce scene. While the .Obp is highlighted, click the E in the object control panel to edit the .obp file. When the smoothing window appears, press Ctrl+D, this will bring up the file export dialog, scroll down to select .obj as your export file type.

You can only export an obp as an obj 'IF' the obp was an obj or 3ds when imported to Bryce's objects library(read that as 'originally an obj or 3ds, or other imported file format'), otherwise nothing will happen, also Bryce created models with primitives will not export...=)

Zhann-- Yes, that is my point. I mean a program that will take a .obp file, regardless of whether or not it was made with booleans, and convert it to .obj I think that you could use the same import algorithms as Bryce (if you know them), and then use the same rendering algorithms (again, if you know them) to determine where the polygons should be. I think that raytracing ought to be able to be used for that, but I'm not really sure (not knowing much about practical 3D applications). Personally I would pay 10-25USD for something like that if I didn't use Bryce as my primary renderer anyway. I don't have a better one, since all I have is poser and Wings, lol. But I'm sure there would be a decent market for it.
Sorry, but I don't think there is an app out there that does that, one of the things Bryce6 should be able to do though. Vue already allows export of native Vue objects in several formats(Vue4Pro), Bryce needs to catch up.....

Oh yes, Im sorry, kinda read through real quick-like and thought you were asking a generic question that is basically answered in the forums FAQ. And as far as most of us know, as Zhann says, there is no such application. Now wondering if 5.5 handles this question or is this something on the books for Bryce 6?
Oh, boy. That sounds rather ominous. Bryce5.5 doesn't allow exporting of boolean objects either. If they don't add that in Bryce6, I'll probably boycott until Bryce7 (depending on what else they add in Bryce6, which better be a bundle). Thing is, I don't really need it since again my primary renderer is Bryce. The only thing I could and would use it for is animations involving Poser characters. Those environments I can make in Wings, though.... so no big deal there (terrains being the only thing that would really be harder to make in Wings, and those I can export with the current versions of Bryce). But I know that a lot of people have complained about the export features of Bryce, so it just occured to me that such a program ought to be possible. If I knew more about Bryce's .obp files, I might even attempt it myself. I probably wouldn't succeed though....

I just got a really cool idea. Anybody out there who is techie think that you could make a program to convert .obp to .obj to improve exporting support for Bryce? I'm fairly techie (big on Visual BASIC), but I have no clue how you would do this. Or has it already been done? If so, then where?
