Now, we can learn from you. Well, I know I can. :-)

That is just AMAZING, LD! How long did it take to render?

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

One has to wonder why she felt the need to throw that snowball. After all, this is probably the most clothes Holly has worn since being "embraced". For those of you unfamiliar with Holly, she normally sports "BatLab's" Devil-Girl fetish corset, thong and pasties. I guess she can claim that get-up gives her wings greater freedom of movement. Like Yawg stated at Mapper's site, I too am impressed by the arc of the snowball's path. It makes the shot all the more realistic. Many beginning animators might have forgotten gravity's effect on objects. Oh, I also really liked the animted .GIF you made of Holly dancing. She must be a real terror at the dance clubs in more ways than one! ;-) Sincerely, Bill

How long did it take to render?

About six hours, total. As an experiment in compositing, I rendered the animation in multiple passes ... Cyclorama background first, then foreground elements (Holly, snowball, and displaced snow terrain), and finally the camcorder text and snow-on-the-lens elements as transmapped squares placed directly in front of the camera.

One has to wonder why she felt the need to throw that snowball.

Given her nature and the militant history of her world, she probably wouldn't want any evidence of her existence or identity, which might make life more difficult should it fall into the wrong hands. I know I wouldn't.

That, and she likes to torment Yawg.

For those of you unfamiliar with Holly, she normally sports "BatLab's" Devil-Girl fetish corset, thong and pasties.

A larger, more detailed render of Holly in her usual attire can be found in my gallery.

Many beginning animators might have forgotten gravity's effect on objects.

Having been subjected to the whims of gravity more times than I care to mention, I can assure you that this vector is never far from my mind.

Oh, I also really liked the animted .GIF you made of Holly dancing.

Thank you. I did a second .GIF for Yawg's site, also.
