Subject: Question about upload space at Renderosity

tradivoro ( ) posted Sat, 19 June 2004 at 10:03 AM ยท edited Thu, 05 March 2026 at 1:48 AM

Hi there... I have a question that I don't know if there's a way to do this here at Renderosity, but maybe some of you know... I recently did a picture... somebody liked a model of a sidewalk I did in the picture and he wants it... It's 5 megs and it's in vob format... Is there anywhere in renderosity that this can be uploaded so he can get it? I don't have any space so he can download it, and he doesn't have any space for me to upload... Any info appreciated, thanks..

You could always upload it to Renderosity's Free Stuff, unless you're only giving it to one person. Other than that, my only suggestion would be to purchase File Locker space with Renderosity, and then you can upload files for private downloads. Deb

So, in Renderosity's free stuff, stuff is uploaded to Renderosity? I thought you had to have space elsewhere and then offer it on the free stuff page?? If that's the case, I can put it up on free stuff... Since this is a one time only thing, the file locker wouldn't be a good option... Thanks for your reply... :)

Why not FTP it? or send it thru Yahoo mail...they now offer 10 mb file size transfers...for free.

Hey, thanks for that head's up jumpstart... He has hotmail, which is severely limited, so if he switches to that, I can send it to him, thanks.. :)

Oh gosh, I'm not sure about uploading to Free stuff now. I'm not sure if it's uploaded to Renderosity or not. Let me check this out a little more. Sorry for the confusion, Deb

Hi tradivoro, If you want to upload your item to freestuff here, you must host the file and thumb yourself. We only host the links. You could do this by using webspace you already have, by signing up for one of the free hosting services or by paying for space (ie File Locker here at Renderosity or another hosting company).
