I thought it meant "French-owned" or "French-run" even though it is an Italian word? :)

There is no secret meaning to the name Eovia. When we founded the company, it was pretty difficult to find a good name, so we tried combining latin and greek roots until we found a name that was original and sounded good to us and we came up with Eovia. So Eovia really comes from the greek Eos and latin Via. Now we never really worried about the meaning so I guess it is open for interpretation. "New beginning" sounds pretty good to me. Charles
