One of them is under two gpus, guess how fast it is in that environment???? It is presently at 61c, idle, and it is never fast for that very reason..... I am presently building a AI model, which is why it is so warm........ It is just use that SSD as a scratch drive, so it doesn't really matter if it is slow.....
It's the same in my tower, in which the SSD under the GPU keeps all my Poser executables and runtimes.
But in my case, the crew that design the tower had the great idea to put three 12" fans pulling fresh air in the tower, plus three on top behind the liquid intercooler, so that the air flows through the box with a certain consistency.
Result: the lower SSD is below 30°C (86°F) most of the time, while the one above the GPU (Windows drive) is commonly between 43°C and 50°C (110°F to 122°F)
That being said: thank you for the info about the SSD: both render and movie cache folder were effectively pointing to a fast SATA drive, but bot Poser's temp folder. Setting changed.

Thread: Locate Function Following Library Search | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have completely stopped to double-click anything in this window because even in the 12 version: it's completely incoherent and I was always forgetting that double-clicking on a material setting, be it in the standard hierarchy or in the favorites part, it simply and always replace replace your current material.

Thread: What do you want to see in the way of tutorials for Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Not being really fluent in English, I tend to avoid video only based tutorials. I'm trying my best to follow some, but it's difficult for me.
Luckily, those found on this website are 100000x better than practically 99.9999% of the video for Blender:
- looks like they are using screens with 1'000'000 pixels horizontally, resulting in a zoomed out view in which very few details can be correctly seen
- and honestly they should look at an adult movie BEFORE recording their vids as most of the time, they're moving 100x too fast.
This is really important: a video tutorial should NEVER be a kind of animated reminder for someone who already knows

Lol... not being as advanced a user as you are shvrdavid , it took me quite some time to understood what you were explaining.
Now I think that I've understood how to project a picture on a wall:
the "Chastity" picture is on a small square almost against the back wall:
Using this material setting

Thread: How to save positioning of Infinite Lights | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Try this: parent your infinite light to a dedicated group, let the light stay at 0,0,0 and change the group's angles accordingly to your tastes.
To parent the light, I'm right-clicking in the Hierarchy window.

I think that it should be possible to have a pz2 file with one readscript that loads the prop and the other that loads the pose for the hand.

Just an idea...
Imagine an image with a sort of spiral. During your animation, you replace your pic with an identical one with the spiral turned somewhat. For example:
- 10 seconds of animation
- 100 pics to compute, which means 10 pics by seconds, so that every 5 steps: replace the image with one whose spiral has turned a quarter turn.
Your brain will probably decide for you that the spirale has turned 😁

Are you thinking to something this?
At the time of Poser8 and Firefly, I used to us this simple kind of setup
On a spot setup using Constant as attenuation parameter.
I've tried using Superfly but never got it to work, despite some Blender tutos on the subject, but there should be a way to do it, as it exists in real life (TV projectors).

Thread: Morph issues | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It may not be related but: I'm getting the same effects, from time to time, for example when I conform a hair (or a cloth) character to a smaller-than-the-default Vic4, and the include scales isn't helping: I have then to uncheck it and play with the hair's global scale till it gets in place correctly.

Thread: no GPU renders? - noobest noob question ever. | Forum: Poser 13
If you are considering replacing your nvidia card: don't be afraid to look for 40xx cards. I mean: I've replaced my old 2080ti, a pci express 3 card, with a 4070OC, a pci express 4 as it's backward compatible: slightly smaller, and needing 230W instead of 250W for more the double the computing power. The lower speed of the bus isn't a problem in my case as I'm not a gamer and the pci express 3 is fast enough
