Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2026 Jun 21 10:24 am)
I do get this comment in P3do-- can't keep all the alphabet soup straight-- that it is unable to upzip the file, something like that. I renamed all of them but no luck so far getting them to work.. oh, there are .cmz files too. And .fcz. The camera ones aren't a problem as I rarely use character specific cameras. .fcz is a prob as that's a morph. I hope it isn't a problem that I bought this a few months ago-- I was very new to Poser and thought it was operator error. But I know all my Poser 4 files now and juggle them around all the time. These aren't kosher.
I think they might be .cm2 and .fc2 files .cm2 are charactor files and .fc2 are expressions for faces. Your using a PC? Try using Windows Explorer to unzip them or Winzip. It might be P3do that's having the problem. In later version of Windows, Explorer has a built in zip manager. Just double click on the .zip file.
If that don't help, the zip file may have gotten corrupted. Go to your My Artist Page-My Purchases and see if you can download it again. You will find your My Artist page on the sidebar and your My Purchases in the list on the right hand side top of page. If you already use the two downloads up and can't download it. Goto Store Contacts on the sidebar and let them know you need to have that product reset so you can download it again.
They ain't zip files, they all look like regular poser files, they all have accompanying .pngs-- which I converted. They just have these odd tags. The last time I ask about these things on the forum, someone thought they might be a strange form of Pro Pack compression. Well, I did try what you suggested and now they are zip files or some hybrid with no known content. But I have the original package and can reinstall. I did download it again today, in case there was a problem that was fixed and a subsequent update, but the package is still just as strange as ever. Did no one ever buy Victor by Joaquim Abella? Emily Ps: On the upside, I just found two graphics plugins I'd lost and thought I'd have to rebuy so the day is not a total loss. grin On the strength of that, I went over and bought the Egyptians-- when frustrated, shop!
Hon, I did unzip the original, I do know that much,[she grins and lies] and I usually have no prob with Pro Pack stuff cause P3do takes care of the odds and ends. I am a little ticked cause Victor wasn't labeled Pro Pack at all. And, sirkrite, I tried to unzip them, but they sorta zipped instead. Ron, I've got a email off to the vendor, I just was hoping maybe there was a workaround. And-- I want to get his Klaus, but do NOT want the same problem. Jose Cortes and Paco worked fine with a little help from P3DO. These are beautiful textures, I just want to get my mitts on all of them. Thank you, Ron for letting me know these are ProPack compressions. Emily
Emily: A while back I bought Victor by Joachim Abella and had the exact problem that you're having. Contacted him and he corrected the download and e-mailed me directly with an update.
Be aware that--by his own admission-- his English is not all that great (he's Spanish), so he hires a translator to communicate long or technical messages.
What's surprising is that he didn't correct the file in the Marketplace.
Mark, that is surprising that the marketplace version wasn't corrected, but I'm very happy to know everything can work out fine. I can wait for the translation-- I think I might write him again and say I'm having the same problem someone else had with Victor and could he simply send me the uncompressed files. Only language I know is French and I don't know how to say uncompressed in that! From Barcelona, he might speak Catalan. I don't know that language either. Just dumb all round. grin Thank you for everybody's care and help. I'm sure it will work out fine. Emily
The funny thing was that I speak a little Spanish, and Quim, a little English, so our initial e-mails to one another were these broken language, back and forth messages that got us nowhere.
I finally resorted to screenshots and arrows--the international sign language of the uni-lingual--and that did the trick.
However, he is already familiar with the problem, so I think you'll have a way easier time.
Good luck.:0)

This is how a lot of my pz2's came on a package I bought and while I'm waiting for a response from the merchant, I thought I would try the vast minds here available to see if their smarts could solve it. I do not want to have to buy Pro Pack to use this package, which was not sold as a PPP only product. According to someone, it is a form of compression. Emily
