I like your model, she's cute! I went to Biovision but couldn't find that motion (can't be Cossack or Snowman! and ye gods they're expensive). I know exactly what you mean about the shoulders - at least if you're talking about the mocap files from Santa Monica. Before I replied I wanted to try this out and if you put the shoulders and arms correct on the first frame (seems it's only the 'bend' that's wrong) you can highlight all the other frames and drag them to match by crtl click. It works for me anyway and makes them look much more natural - oh, and I'd also retimed the animation by half because I prefer 12 fps, makes it more manageable..... and raised the body from out of the floor........

Sorry, saxon. I got my files crossed. The BVH file is from LocoMotion Studios, not BioVision. The .zip file is named Biovision_BVH.zip (note to self: must keep better notes).

When you track the file down, if you want a good laugh, try applying it to Michael. His shoulders end up near his earlobes. It's definitely proportioned for female characters.

The messed-up shoulders I referred to earlier did indeed come from my experiments with the Santa Monica mocap files (although I've seen similar problems with a few other BVH files). I thought at first that it was a flaw with my custom-made character, but the exploded-shoulder syndrome turned up with the Poser and DAZ figures, also. I'll try what you suggested. Thanks.

Sabrina will look much cuter when I start animating her tail, and switch over to the high-res version of the mesh with poseable eyes. The one I'm practicing on now is practically game-resolution (under 3000 polys). If her creator, Eric Schwartz, doesn't grant me permission to distribute, I might rework her as a generic character with a ton of morphs.
