Subject: Background images that are actually 'FREE'!

Anyone know of anywhere I can get hold of images to use as backgrounds? I'm after a city at night image to put on a plane to give a view out of an office block window. All I get on Google searches are Adobe, Shutterstock and other sites that want a sign-up or payment. I've tried the search methods online to attempt to shut out Adobe and Shutterstock but they don't really work. Up to now I've been taking my own pics if I can't find what I want. I tried the top floor of the building where I used to work but its not available at night.

Polyhaven has great HDRIs. They aren't for a plane but a sphere, but I use them for backgrounds all the time.

I use Poser 14 and Windows 11

Which render engine and Poser version are you using?

I agree that HDRIs can provide a good background; however, because of their panoramic view, you won't find a close-up of a city skyline.  You need a high-resolution image to edit in a third party app.

I'll have a look at the links thanks, I still use Poser2014 at the moment as it does everything I need. I mainly do animations that include movement. At the moment I'm working on Poser figures sitting in a railway carriage as it pulls into a station and I'm using a huge rotating cylinder to make the scenery pass the window to give the impression of movement. Keeps my old brain working..

The office block window is for the camera view looking down at the train roof as it passes by. I'd got countryside scenery and the closeup ground level stuff for the carriage window but nothing from high up. That's what started my searches and made me notice the way the searches responded.
