I think I augmented the light rays coming in through the window in PSThat's pretty cool....like the window lighting and shadow cast....Darkglass posted at 2:33 PM Sun, 2 April 2023 - #4460529

I've seen a lot around, but like you, my roundtuit has never surfaced for this particular style. Will one day though I hope :)Paper Craft....I know some of you have done this idea already...but i didn't get to do it at the time...so doing it now...!!
Many thanks Gill....sure you will find that right time to do some paper craft,....side note...you ever had a go at 3d pop up book illustrations or the idea and concept...This is the last one that I did in Vue last year - https://www.renderosity.com/gallery/items/3074920/the-book-of-trees

It's going to be another month at least before I get the BBQ out...
A real photo, not Mid-j, taken earlier this evening...
Adding 'paper cut art' at the end of my frosty tree prompt did some cool things...

gillbrooks posted at 3:50 PM Sun, 2 April 2023 - #4460543I bought it long before Daz took it over. I think they still offer it for free now, but it was Eovia when I bought mine from 3D Commune! I tried others like C4D but found Hex the easiest for me so that's what I stuck with. I'm not an expert modeller like some, but | can usually see something I want and make something half decent. Although, I don't need to use it as much now, but there was a time when every Vue scene I did required me to make at least one or 2 of the things that went in it. I even did my own Escape to the Chateau - everything here except the plants was made in Hexagon !! https://www.renderosity.com/gallery/items/2987857/chateau-de-la-motte-hussonDarkglass posted at 2:45 PM Sun, 2 April 2023 - #4460534gillbrooks posted at 2:37 PM Sun, 2 April 2023 - #4460532Ta :) Apart from the plants, I made all the models in Hexagon. I was on the staff there for a while up till it closed. Started out as a product tester and ended up being one of the store admins. LONG time ago now :( I'll never forget my first product test - a really awful (but technically passble) set of koi carp for Bryce hahaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I almost told them I'd changed my mind !! We didn't get paid - just got to keep whatever we tested.Loving all the pop up books.
Lunaseas, hurry back. We will miss ya.
Gill: 3DCommune.....was my "home" way back when. It was kind of like this thread, ....like family.
bakapo: gonnna have to try "brain storm". lol

I think mine was just "dragon pop up book". I say I think as I've done so much since then, MJ won't go back that far as the gallery part is still a bit flaky
Talking of flaky, have any of you seen the new thing they're trialling over there? I think it's broken at the mo, but you type in /describe and upload an image or photo and the bot gives you 4 possible prompts. I managed to try it once before it broke, but the results for mine weren't that good. It was a photo of me sitting on a log bench on the canal towpath with our heavenly angel border collie by me. I'll try again with something else when they've fixed it.

I agree with your 1st assessment of the Description thingy Gill, think it's more of starting point that needs a lot of refinement. It does seem to like Dragons though they were the only thing that turned remotely like the original for me. Wasted a lot of time exploring it and not sure I care for it...
Remember...No matter where you go there you are

I think it's in the rather early alpha stage at the moment, so they might refine it further down the line. I think at the moment, it's overthinking things.I agree with your 1st assessment of the Description thingy Gill, think it's more of starting point that needs a lot of refinement. An example of a MidJ pic I did earlier today - I uploaded it and got this :

My oringal prompt for this pic was "Monmouthshire And Brecon Canal At Goytre Wharf"
Gill
And hove you noticed the absolutely crazy ARs it's quoting??
Plus, we've been told by the MidJ people that adding things like 32K (or whatever K) and HD, UHD and all that stuff means nothing to the bot and just confuses it so why have it written into the algorithm or whatever generates thense prompts?
Gill
From prompt #1

From prompt #2 - this is complete rubbish IMO

From prompt # 3. This is the best so far EXCEPT that in 2 of them, the boat is out of the water and parked on the towpath hahaaaaaaaaaa

Prompt # 4. A bit meh if you ask me. Definitely got better results from my very simple original prompt !!
