Your Firefly setup is Adding 100% reflection on top of 100% (alternate) specular.
This would do it:
The black & white image map would be the mask, and the color map would provide color. The ks_microfacet (new node / lighting / specular / ks_microfacet) makes pretty good metal for Firefly. The math node is inverting (brightness-wise, not flipping vertically) the mask. Adjust roughness in the ks_microfacet node as needed to get a chrome look.

seachnasaigh, Thanks for the help. I gave it a go and although the logo showed up wonderfully, no matter how I tweaked the settings, I couldn't get a nice reflective chrome look to the wing. So I used what you showed me for the texture and masking, and combined them with my own self-made chrome shader and I'm very happy to say I got the exact result I was looking for! Here's a pic of what it looks like now. And it was actually a very simple thing to do - thank you so much!

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem I've run across. A while back I was asking for help in combining procedural shaders with texture maps, and I got some great help from several folks, in particular from Redphantom. My issue at the time was that I was making an airplane wing, using a self made shader to make the metallic surface shiny and reflective like chrome. But I also wanted to use a texture map to show an airline logo, as if it were painted on the chrome surface. I was using the Superfly render engine in Poser 11, and the help the forum users offered let me get it working, great! I was taught the basics of using a mask to do it. Afterwards I did some further testing and discovered that in Superfly, some renders made the chrome look somewhat translucent, like glass. Glass with the logo nice and bright like I wanted. However, when rendered with Firefly, the chrome looked so much more like a beautiful, shiny metallic surface instead of glass.... but the logo is so faint, it's almost non-existent. Please see the pic of side-by-side renders. I went in and tried to manipulate the node settings in a way similar to what I did when rendering with Superfly. But I couldn't get it set up right (see pic of the node settings for Firefly renders). I'm hoping someone can help me figure it out. Thanks -
