grazie Irish, as a Vue and C4D user I must admit one more time that Carrara is more friendly and powerful, so I bet you'll do something amazing soon;
gkdantas thanks I'll post it on your portal gladly as soon as possible; let me ask you and Mark how you should calibrate the lighting so that the waves get to be clearly visible than the sand in presence of sunlight. Actually lighting is the matter, for you have to show your outcomes on lcd and crt monitors, mobile devices, tv sets and so on and each of them has a different behaviour and response. I'd like to watch something about one day.

Lightning a scene isnt easy. I am following Rabid Bear project for a contest and theres a scene with a little lake, and she used a lot of spots to get the right light. Just need to find the link to the preview.

hi all, I merged some of my "scene props" to set a little animated ecosystem; I guess that animated foamy waves are not so easy to do in Vue or Terragen, moreover Carrara 7 is very stable and let flicker to reduce the best. I'm working on improving the realism of water so any hint will be appreciated. ciao
