Subject: Loading Morph Injections in Carrara 7 Pro

mathman ( ) posted Sun, 18 April 2010 at 2:59 PM · edited Fri, 10 July 2026 at 2:18 AM

Hi all,

I have discovered that when I load up M4, and then go to load up the INJ Morphs++, Carrara sends me running all over the countryside trying to find the file called InjDeltas.M4Morphs++All.pz2.

Naturally enough, I was able to search for, and find, this file but it was time-consuming and an interruption to an otherwise smooth workflow.

So, my question is .... is there a better way of doing this ? ... for example, is there a way of storing the path to this file in Carrara so that next time it can find the Deltas file straight away ?

I can see that I am going to come across a similar issue when loading up other injection morph sets such as Hiro 4, M4 Enhanced, etc. So, is there a global time saver to avoid all this running around ?

Note that I have Michael 4 in a separate runtime (ditto for Vic 4). I am in Windows 7 and C7 Pro.

Thanks and regards,
Andrew

That shouldn't be happening.  I would remove and re-add the runtime in Carrara's object browser.  It seems to have forgotten where the file is.  Assuming you installed it in the default location (your main runtime) it should see it, and you shouldn't have to enter it manually.

Thanks, sparrownightmare. I have M4 installed in a separate runtime (for Poser, that is). I have made Carrara point to that runtime in the "Content" folder of the Carrara browser.

AprilYSH at April's vanity website has a pose download (freebie) that automatically loads the character and puts the morphs ++ on it. I use this in carrara whenever I want the morphs, as I had the same problem as you before.

Thanks, Sueposer.

I think I am going to issue a fresh and more generic thread, as what I really want to know is what is the "best practice", or ideal workflow, if I want to render an image containing one or more Poser figures.
