You shouldn't have to.  Are you actually doing a manual import or using the content browser to drag and drop them in?

can you use the content browser to load in Pz3s?  I have been locating them from the top menu andlooking in my HDs for them. they come in posed but the clothes are all elsewhere in the zero position.

That's odd.  I use Carrara for all the posing so I just pull the base characters into Carrara from the content folder's runtime folder then drag and drop morphs, clothes etc. from the content tab.  Remember some morphs require you to have some base morphs like the morphs++ for V4.2.  Also, in Carrara, you need to set the correct parent mesh to the clothes and hair once you pull in any clothes, hairs or props.  Some also require you to use the magnet fits for some figures.  I find it much easier to do the posing in Carrara.

Hi there, well I pose in poser first and there is a problem for me importing with PZ3.  I have some python scripts I use in poser a lot.  eg one that will just conform and magnetize all the clothes from a folder, after I just tick the box on the list with which clothes I want to dress her in.  It really speeds up my workflow.
I too can import characters into carrara from within carrar from the content browser without a problem.
