In the thread on crediting models, it was mentioned:

"They only want poser renders in the poser gallery, but where do you put a poser-heavy carrara render? "

Actually, the Poser gallery is for "images created using Poser", meaning that Poser was involved in the process, including images set up in Poser and rendered in something else, so the poser-heavy carrara render would be welcome in the Poser gallery. There are quite a few pics there that were rendered in Carrara, Vue, Lightwave, Bryce, etc.

'Tis true.  Although, before all the recent changes, the header used to saying something along the lines of "We prefer to see images rendered in Poser posted to the gallery".  Something about wanting to see what you can do with Poser, etc.  So I think folks who've been here a while are still  under the impression that it's frowned upon to post images that have been rendered in another app.  Heck, maybe that's even still true.  It's no longer mentioned in the Poser gallery anyway.

Ive rendered in Carrara for the past couple of years. I always post in the Poser gallery. Why not the Carrara Gallery? Because the majority of the work I did was done in Poser. I just rendered in C5. I probably use 10- 15% of the functions, so I dont really do much in Carrara other than re-do a couple of textures and hit "render". Example: When I go to the Cinema 4D gallery, I get disappointed when I see Vicky renders. C4D has so much more to it than just being a "Poser Renderer" I want to see the creative minds tear into that program and create something original and fun. Same with the Lightwave, Carrara, and so-forth, galleries. Just my thoughts. E

Once Poser gets a better renderer (see version 7), then renderosity will be pleased that more of the Poser uploads they receive are actual Poser creations and not hybrids.
