Subject: Is there a way to get all items to drop to floor/plane?

I've made a scene & need to change the POV. When I do a lot of the items are floating...Is there way to select the offending groups & drop them back to the plane? Hope that makes sense :) Thanks :)

I do not know about any built in drop to floor commands, but you can activate the "Use Collision Detection" icon (the second one in the upper right side of the 3D view, looks like three little spheres). Anything you move will briefly stop when it collides to any other objects. It is true for the floor too.

As long as you have a floor object -- a plane or something. I suspect that dlk might be looking for the ctl+d command from Poser (at least that's what I remember from version 4 a lifetime ago!). There's nothing like that in Carrara. But if you have an object for the floor, what Gwynhale suggests works great.

Thank you very much :) That's close enough & does what I need :)

It might be quicker to move your floor up. :-)
