Hi, I was wondering if anyone knw of a good source for premade textures and shaders. Im on a budget so Im looking for someplce which doesnt charge a fortune for a small pack of them. Free would be great. Thanks in advance.

Check out www.animax.it. They have a ton of great photographic textures you can map onto objects. They do ask that you only download the textures you're going to use, so their bandwidth isn't shot. Also, go to www.newtek.com. They have free photo texture packs available for download. Yeah, newtek makes Lightwave, but the photo textures are free and work in any package. As for procedural textures, I'm not familiar with any for Carrara. HTH. - Dex

Litst has several nice shaders available for free on his web site: http://www.chez.com/litst/ He also has some good tutorials.

Thanks. Im still learning on how to skin properly. The C4 manual isnt the clearest thing in the world. So I have to use a lot of simple shaders since I cant figure out how to make custom skins other than patterns and naturals.
