Subject: Any one use Vector Style?

Any one use Vector Style? What do you think? I use Illustrator all day at work and Vector Style seems like it could be a useful software plugin. Could you show a before 3d picture and what it looks after its converted to vectors?

Yep its a cool plug. I use it regularly, both for .swf animations and print art. It has many possible settings for tonal or line art looks. The image above is an in-progress image for a client of Carrara 3D exported to an .ai file. All I've done is add the heavier outline. Mark

I second my namesake's endorsement. Can't show any commercial examples due to agreements with clients but it is a great little plugin. I've used it to export mainly engineering and architectural illustrations as .ai files to Macromedia Freehand with no problems. I'm assuming it will still work with C4 (?) Mark

Anybody have any vector images made from shaded objects?

ShawnDriscoll ( ) posted Wed, 01 September 2004 at 6:33 PM

www.shonner.com has a SWF shaded objects animation made from Carrara Studio 3 and VectorStyle on it. You need the Macromedia Flash Player installed for your web browser to see it.

Here is an image I did a long time ago. The top image has VectorStyle applied. The bottom is the original render. Hope this helps.
