Bryce F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 17 1:22 pm)
I'm not at my computer right now and cannot check*, but how about texturing imported models and re-exporting them? Of course, it would work only with bitmap textures, not with Bryce procedurals. Nevertheless, how does it work? * Not that I could check, since I use Bryce as the final renderer. :-)

Very nice. My method can be found at the link above.Aye, some programs will prompt you on the export (for .obj) if you want to export the textures. Ray Dream Studio 5 does this, and Amorphium as well! RDS actually even asks what size (256, 512, 1024, blah), and it actually renders each active material and saves it off, similar to exporting terrains in Bryce! But I don't think Bryce will do it otherwise...

1. Get the large preview image in the DTE and do a screen capture. 2. Apply the texture to a box, turn off the atmosphere, add some lights and render from top. 3. Apply the texture to a flat terrain and export the obj, getting a texture map and bump map. #1 and #2 are easy, so is #3, but see tutorial link if you wish to see how I did it. Anyone have any other ways of doing this?
