Story: Ka'ab al-Ahbar's daughter, Saffiya, often refers clients to him. Not wishing her to work in the Tea and Smoke House, exposed to the fondling hands of the men who gather there, Ka'ab permits her to run a water stall in the market. The sweetest water sold anywhere, made with a specially added ingredient to make people want this water over the well water which could be freely drawn in the center of the market. In actual fact, it mattered little if she sold any water, as she was merely there as her father's eyes and ears, but each market day, her voice could be heard calling out, "Sweet water for sale. Cool, sweet water." Plus descriptions by Tori B.Ka'ab al-Ahbar and his daugher Saffiya. Influenced this moment in the water stall. http://www.mernac.com/modules/mernac/story.php?id=852&aid=1014
