Each week these outstanding artists put the "giggles" in our funny bones, and the "thrills and chills" in our adventurous spirits. This week our featured cartoonist is Wendy C. Eld, better known on Renderosity as coa. Each week Wendys playful mice dance across the Renderosity Front Page News Comic Strip pages in their Mousecapades adventures. Wendy, can you tell us a little bit about yourself. I live in New Jersey, USA and grew up in the 50s and 60s. I started with computers in 1980 as a Computer Programmer (the pre-Microsoft days), taught Photoshop for many years and feel in love with 3D art 10 years ago. I started with Ray Dream Studio and quickly discovered Bryce3D, Poser3 and Vue3 and have gotten all updated versions since then. I also enjoy using World Builder, Amapi, TrueSpace & Carrara. I love animals, have been riding horses since I was 5, raised Angus cattle and currently have 3 Bernese Mountain Dogs. How long have you been creating your mischievous mice cartoon strip? The very first mousecapade appeared in the Vue Gallery at Renderosity on August 26th, 2003, so we are almost at the 2 year Anniversary.

Why mice? My fathers name is Amos, and his entire life he has referred to himself as Amouse. He has little mouse figures around the house, so when the HouseMouse came out at Daz, I guess it was a natural for me to use him. What or who inspires you, where do you get your ideas for your weekly Renderosity Comic Strips? LifeI dont think there is anything the guys dont do that I havent seen people, young or old, doing or wanting to do at some time or another. Do you use the same software tools each time you create a strip? By tools, I assume you mean software programs. I primarily use Poser and Vue (right now Poser6 and VI). If I need to build something, I will either dust off my Ray Dream or use Amapi, TS or Carrara.

Do you have a favorite cartoonist, or cartoon character? Actually, I always loved the Rocky & Bullwinkle Show because the humour appealed to both children and adults; but my all time favorite idol is Walt Disney. How long have you been a part of the Renderosity community, and what do you like best about being a member? Since August 31, 2000, but silly me, I never realized I could have a gallery here until two years ago [much laugher]. I thoroughly enjoy meeting different people from around the world. I have made some wonderful friends here, and continue to make more constantly. It is a great community for sharing tips and tricks, and expanding your artistic talents with the help and support of many talented artists. Outside of Renderosity, have you been published? If so, where and when? I have self-published three Mousecapade Books, and I am working on the fourth. Many members from here have already purchased them, which has encouraged me tremendously. Everyone experiences a *creative block* is there a method you use to get creative again? Actually I have been very lucky not to hit a block yet, as I have a constantly growing list (well over 200 ideas at the moment) for future adventures. The kind of block I will get now and then is tired. It takes from 8-20 hours to do one mousecapade, not including render time, and since I post one per week, and have a full time job, that is a lot of work to constantly be doing. My solution is to get way ahead so I can take a week or two off and just relax. Then I come back totally refreshed and fired up to do the next bunch.

Any tips or tricks on creating a weekly strip that you would like to pass along to our readers? Have a sense of humor, a lot of patience and enjoy yourselfthis is fun!!!!
