Interview with Budo-san
Renderosity: I notice that a lot of your recent work ( jungle flower, central) are in Daz|Studio. Are you more comfortable with Daz rather than 3D Studio Max? How is your work different in each application?
Budo-san: Wow, I'm pleased to be chosen as artist of the month. Thank you so much! -Yes, I like to work in Daz Studio to render the models and objects for my images or the complete render of the image. I have many other 3D software but mostly use Daz Studio.
Tell us where you come from and how you got into digital art?
Budo-san: I'm living in Schoten, a cozy little suburb of Antwerp, Belgium and speak Dutch. I got into digital art thanks to Photoshop, then I found Daz Studio and saw the possibility to create the images that I have in my mind.
Color is one of the coolest things about your work. Do you pay special attention to color? If so, what is your workflow like when it comes to color
Budo-san: I like colors, they reflect the mood I'm in at the moment I compose the image. There is no specific workflow choosing the colors, I see it like painting on a digital canvas with the opportunity of unlimited possibilities to create the images I have in my head
How do you start on a particular project? What do you being with and how does your creativity flow?
Budo-san: It mostly starts with an idea, a thought, a word or a name, a song...Sometimes it is a complete creation in Photoshop with or without 3D models or objects, sometimes I do a complete 3D scene render and put some fx in Photoshop. I like to put some little details in my pictures and sometimes try to give them a magical fantasy look. I also try not to repeat myself and try to give every image his unique look.
How has Renderosity impacted your work as an artist?
Budo-san: Renderosity gives me the possibility to expose my works and see the work of other great artists. That gives me a boost to evolve and try to take my next work to a higher level.
Would you like to add anything to close out our interview?
Budo-san: Wow! Thank's to all the great artists that see and like my images. Enjoy and have fun! Keep on creating!
