The Vendor of the Month for November: Powerage
Our Vendor of the Month (VOM) for November, 2015, is Powerage. Powerage has been a member of Renderosity since 2005. Visit his Renderosity storefront and you can easily see why he was selected as the Vendor of the Month; his work is imaginative and very well crafted. I had the good fortune to interview Powerage (Christophe), who lives in France.

Interview
Tell us about yourself: who is powerage?
I am 45 years old, my name is Christophe, married and father of a little girl of 9 years. I am French and live in Bordeaux.
How did you get started in digital art? When did you get the idea to become a vendor?
Since 1998. I started getting interested in digital art at a time when the internet was down flow and specialized forums did not exist to me. So, I trained with books.
Tell us about the tools you use to create your pieces and how do you decide on what to create?
I mainly use 3ds Max, Photoshop, Poser, Daz Studio, Z Brush. I like shouting and is not always in the same area: clothing, architecture, fantasy, etc ... and when I start a project, I chose the theme based on my desire of the moment. My background processes of creation begins with an idea, the idea often comes after observation of the real world around me, or film and other media. The intense observation of what the modeler wants to achieve is an essential quality. For workflow, everyone can find one that suits him the most, and to have one so you do not go in all directions.
Who are some other vendors/artists you admire?
There are a lot here and elsewhere.
What are you working on now?
I do not know yet, I have just finished a product for Genesis 3 female and I think the next one will be for her too.

How has renderosity helped you become a better artists and vendor?
Here it's like in real life: we laugh, we get angry, etc ... it is very much alive and this is my second home for over ten years now.
Do you have any advice for an artist who wants to make the transition to becoming a vendor?
Loving what you do, never force yourself in art because it does not work well.
