April's Staff Spotlight -- Deenamic

Apr 01, 2016 at 12:00 am by hopeandlove

Renderosity would not be what it is now if it wasn't for-- not only our members-- but also our staff. Every month we will be spotlighting a member of staff that is performing to the best of their abilities and someone who goes above and beyond for the community.

April's Staff Spotlight is: Deenamic (Denesia)

Deenamic is one of our newer staff members but that does not stop her from helping not only members but staff as much as possible.

What makes you so passionate about helping our members?

I'm passionate about helping the members, because I know it what it's like to be an artist at every stage of their hobby or career. You want to explore and find out what you can and can't do and what you could be doing in the future. I want to help the members along on their path of exploration.

How much time do you spend on the site per day?

I find myself on there for two hours. I start doing something else online or offline, I go back on there for an hour or two and then the next thing you know, it's late at night and I fall asleep, wake up the next morning and get on my computer and I'm still on a Renderosity forum or gallery page! So, basically, I'm on there at all times of the day for various lengths of time.

How did you find out about Renderosity?

I found out about Renderosity after getting hooked on websites that sold items for Photoshop and I was like wow I have to find more of these type of websites, so I started searching and came across Renderosity. I liked that I could buy items for Photoshop on there and upload my artworks when I was ready in the future.

What art do you dabble in?

I have dabbled in everything from painting to printmaking, but for the past few years, I've dabbled the most in photo manipulation. I loved to do collages in high school and to me photo manipulation is like a modern day collage without having to hunt down magazines, scissors, and rubber cement to put your masterpiece together. I love being able to take photos and items I find online and offline and put them all together to make something amazing. I think my mom loves the art direction I'm going in too, because she doesn't have to wipe up drops of paint or pieces of clay off the floor or table that I didn't see.

What's your favorite aspect of being a coordinator?

My favorite aspect of being a coordinator is doing the picks of the week. I love looking at all the photos and artwork and being able to pick a photo or artwork that is interesting, tells a simple or complex story, and touches one or more of my emotions. I hope my selections will let the members know that hey you're going in the right direction, keep doing what you're doing, keep doing what you love, and someone out there is going to love your work too.

What makes you so drawn to Renderosity?

At first I was drawn to Renderosity, because of the vendors and their out of this world Photoshop items, but now I'm drawn to it for more than just that. I'm drawn to it, because I love that it's a website full of artists of various forms and they're all trying to find their niche and help each other through the good times and bad times and I want to be part of an art community that is like that.
