Renderosity Welcomes the 3D Modelers Who Sold at VanishingPoint!
Late last year Renderosity acquired the VanishingPoint Marketplace. Though a large number of the models that were sold at VanishingPoint are being released under the RPublishing label, there are also several 3D modelers who sold their content there. These vendors have been transferring their VanishingPoint products into our MarketPlace. Listed below are the vendors who have been adding their VanishingPoint content to their Renderosity store.
Renderosity Vendors who were also VanishingPoint Vendors
Renderosity is very pleased to welcome the new vendors that have come over from VanishingPoint! Now we would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to these new Renderosity vendors and give you a look at some of quality products they are now offering only at Renderosity!
New Renderosity Vendors who were VanishingPoint Vendors
We invite you to browse all of the vendors' stores listed above for many Renderosity Exclusive items. Remember: you can add these to your “Favorite Vendors” list to get email notifications when they release new products! Don’t want email notifications, but want to be kept up-to-date? Just click on the small RSS icon at the top left of their store. The Vendor-Specific RSS Feeds are available on each vendor's store page. The RSS feeds are updated in real time and they are a great way to view the vendors’ latest offerings!
Renderosity is still adding the VanishingPoint content regularly under the RPublishing Store. There are now nearly 50 quality items that have been transferred from VanishingPoint. Below are a few examples of the items available:
Honestly.. I dont thing i like this aquisition.. at least not totally. I dont like the vast majority of 3d content comming out of one or two entities. I liked Vanishing point, there stuff was unique and different, and i dont completely like that its product is being absorbed into Rendos huge product base, I can understand it to a degree to keep it from closing maybe. but... well thats just my feeling on it.
I have never been a fan of big companies absorbing smaller ones, but I do understand that in today's economic climate, it's become a fact of life....and survival. What I am happy about is that Renderosity, under the label of RPublishing, openly provides credit to the creator of the item. That makes accepting this merger a bit easier to take.
I'm withholding my judgment on this one until more of the Vanishing Point line shows up here. There were a lot of great things at VP that were available nowhere else (like the large selection of trains and automobiles they had), and it would be a shame to see them disappear forever.
Re to VP: Thanks for replying to my post! And for over looking my lack of proof reading my comment BEFORE i posted. Its not you or Rendo in specific i was speaking of. Its the idea of the loss of smaller specialty creators and the uniqueness they bring to the 3d community. I think that the loss of creativity that comes from individauls is tragic and i hope this isn't or doesnt follow the same mein. I think that Rendo diveristy of products from its world class freestuff section (which is a boon to every new and aspiring artist on the net should give thanks), and their marketplace is amazing. But even so, i would hope VP doesnt lose it individuality as a place for unique and creative items... Besides i had some great stuff in my cart LOLOL!!
