Congratulations to Dinoraul for being Renderosity's Vendor of the Month for September!
Who is 'Dinoraul'?
My name is Raul Lunia, artist name "Dinoraul."
How long have you been involved in digital art?
I've been involved in digital art around 10 years.
What made you decide to become a Vendor?
I made lot of 3D creations for my renders, and after that they just became forgotten on my hard disk. So, I decided to start selling them, to make them useful for other 3D artists.
What are you currently working on?
Some new tree species are coming, and a new creature - Demirox (pictured at right).
What software is currently in your digital toolset and why?
I use LightWave3D for creating the geometry and mapping, 3D Coat for texturing and Photoshop for the final touch.
What sparked your interest in the prehistoric creatures you create?
I have been interested in nature as long as I can remember. I love animals. I discovered dinosaurs when I was around 10 years old.
Do you have any favorites among the products you've created?
No, I do not have favorites, every animal and creature and tree is important to me.
Do you have any advice for aspiring Digital Content Developers?
To learn 3D - patience...and once more, patience. Everybody wants to create some creature as soon as possible, but to achieve satisfying results takes a long time. And 3D means learning new stuff every day.
Has this online Community (Renderosity) enhanced your work, relationships, and learning?
Sure, it has. Comments have been very helpful.
Do you have any final words or advice for other digital artists?
You can always do better work than your last work.
Congrats Raul...you deserve the spotlight. I have bought several of your tree packages and they are THE BEST. Got some of your little creatures too. The quality is outstanding to say the least. Thanks for sharing your creations. They make 3D art a whole lot better.
Cool to see a picture of you, but man, you look like a deer caught in the headlights.... Congrats on the VOM... Love it when you create dinos that don't exist like your dinosapiens - which I still haven't got, someday when I can get it in the budget... Would love to see you make something with the body of the hulk and oversized head of T rex with horns of a triceratops, backspine of a stegasaurus, big scary demon snake eys....
