Who is hmann? I am basically just a musician and
music arranger that is also a 3d enthusiast. How long have
you have you been rendering? Quite a number of years...at
least seven or more...I started out when 3d studio max was on PC as
3d studio, then I bought Raydream studio...before Metacreations
owned it, I took an interest in modeling especially, but I love
rendering as well...anything in 3d really. What are you
currently working on? Basically I want to get more into
modeling, so I try to challenge myself, rather than do hair all the
time I like to build worlds, clothes, I really want to build more
fantasy and sci fi stuff that requires less constraints on the
imagination. Currently I have a couple more hairs in the pipeline
and I want to update my older products as well...plus more clothes
packs and a complete update on the World Kit very soon! What
software do you use and why? I use all version of Poser 4
to 6...I like Poser 6 for rendering...its lighting offers some new
possibilities, I like Poser 4 for testing and setting up new models
...its less complex and faster. I use Amapi for modeling, but
currently I am using Hexagon from Eovia as well..I am using that
more and more...its such a great modeler...I really love it!! I
also use an older version of Painter (6.1) and Uv ampper pro and
ultimate unwrap 3d as well. Where do you find inspiration for
your products? Thats a hard one really I like to look at
comics occasionally, ancient historical stuff as well, real life
situations...so many sources really...often when I make stuff
tho...I just improvise. How has this online community
(Renderosity) enhanced your work, relationships, and
learning? I have met so many people in this community that
do such great work that it cant help but inspire you...no man is an
island and we receive and give according to our surroundings.
Do you have any final words? First thanks you so much
to all the people that have bought my products, many of you are
great artists, and there are many great merchants as well. Thanks
also to Clint, Debbie and all the rest of the crew...without your
hard work non of this would be possible. Basically all I am is an
enthusiast really, the only rule I have for myself... is dont take
shortcuts, if its worth a little bit of extra effort to make a
product or image even better, then I'll try my best to achieve
that. Thanks again...best wishes to all. hmann
