Description
Sure, it's the Starship Troopers craft, the 'Athena', but they are not looking for insect-like critters to fight, just doing a bit of low pass training...yeah sure I hear you say...NO ! lets be for real, just watch the video below, not a charred bug in sight ! (except for the ones under the flight path) LOL
A bit of a compositing exercise for me and I liked the single frame so much, I just had to animate it...go figure !

The custom-made landscape and model blend really well with the sunset background photo of California's Mt. Laguna.
[compositing real photo BG and then use 3D objects to fit in seamlessly into the BG.]... and well done with the sound effects Jeff.

The almost lack of an atmosphere means almost no ground effect at twice the wingspan. Maybe atomized dust could keep it up. At this altitude one does not like "maybe."
