Presented with each image, is the personal thoughts and wishes of the Renderosity artist behind the work that you see. We invite you to browse some great holiday works within this page, and get to know the artists a little better.

Be sure to also have a further look at the works of these wonderfully talented artists, through their gallery links provided.

Happy Holidays to all!

I am Barbara Din, a human being. I was born and live in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

What went into the creation of this image? A lot of patience along with Ultra Fractal and Photoshop software: my most beloved ones.

Inspiration? In this case it was pretty simple: I used the Christmas theme as the inspiration, which I always liked without knowing why. I tried to come up with a Christmas tree that showed the marvelous intricacy of fractals without over-doing it.

I wish every single person wisdom, understanding and love. Happiness isn’t something that suddenly strikes, it is something to be learnt and it is also a choice.

Merry Christmas!

My name is Carol Dahl from Houston, TX and I've been a member on Renderosity since November of 2000.  I'm the mother of five grown daughters and the grandmother of 10...ok, ok so the secret is out...I'm old!

Christmas is my favorite time of year, because I'm just a kid at heart and love all things magical.

I created Mortimer Kringle last year using the Chubbly morphes for the Milbaby by Capsces.  He was rendered in Poser4 and postworked in Photoshop7.  I loved him so much I just had to dust him off and use him again this year to spread the cheer!

I hope everyone here at Renderosity has a very blessed Christmas and the happiest of New Year's in 2008!

A Christmas Card for...
by locomouse

My name is Helen Grainge... and I'm an Ultra Fractal enthusiast.  My good friend and amazing fractal artist, Joe Zazulak (aka joeydude) introduced me to the Ultra Fractal software, which is the brainchild of Frederik Slijkerman, a couple of years ago.  I had always been fascinated with fractal images but didn't know the first thing about how they came into being.

I'll be the first to admit that when I first launched Ultra Fractal I was stupefied!  I actually sat here staring at the screen and said out loud, "You've got to be kidding me!"  lol!  The learning curve is a little steeper than the face of Mount Everest... but once you roll up your sleeves and begin the climb... it's tons of fun!

I live in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.  This is wine country.  Well... there are alot of fancy boutiques down on the main street, too.  But... mostly it's about the wine.  Our little house sits in the middle of a one acre lot and is surrounded on three sides by vineyards.  From the Google Earth view, it closely resembles a postage stamp interrupting the meticulous flow of grape vines... but not for very long... ;)

My image, "A Christmas Card for..." was created entirely within Ultra Fractal.  And, because I had decided to offer the parameter file to all of my friends here at Renderosity, I wanted it to stand without any postwork.  It encompasses 29 layers of fractal work, but I think it accomplished a simple and festive design.

Inspiration?  I love to look closely at all the fractal images that are uploaded every day.  There is not one of them that doesn't inspire me in some way.  Sometimes the color palette used grabs me in such a way that I can envision a design of my own using those hues.  Other times I try to guess which formulas and/or coloring algorithms were utilized in a particularly striking combination.  It's all food for thought!  :)

My initial "kick start" surfaced when I viewed the fractal delights of Linda Allison (aka gumbykat) and then wandered into the midst of so many other talented and inspiring entities that are far too numerous to list here.

My advice, if anything other than "go for it and have fun", to anyone seriously interested in fractal art would be to take the three courses offered by Janet Parke at the online Visual Arts Academy.  You'll come away from them with an entirely new perspective... and loads of "insider information" with which to enhance your fractal toolbox.

I'd like to wish everyone at Renderosity a very Happy and Safe Holiday Season!  It's a time to enjoy loved ones and the magic of Christmas... and maybe snag a few coveted gifts in the process... ;)  But I'd also just like to say that, since it is a time of giving... please remember the less fortunate in our midst.  Drop off a new toy at your local charity... for a child who would otherwise go without... and don't forget the animal shelters and their boarders... because everyone... and every critter ... deserves some special attention at this time... :)

I am Gina Pitkanen (aka Ravnheart). I am from the US, but living in Finland as I married ToxicAngel who is from Finland.

When I created this image I used Photoshop CS and a Intuos tablet.

For inspiration I have a friend that lives here that looks like a living Santa. He played a big part in creating the image. Also, in Finland it is tradition to have a Santa come to your house and deliver the presents. My first year I was here they had Santa come and deliver all the gifts. It was an experience I will never forget. I was no longer a child, but at that moment he came in I was taken back to my childhood! It was magical. This is the spirit I was trying to capture.

So during this year's holidays I send a little bit of that magic to each and everyone of the amazing artists that come to this site and make it what it is today. Happy Holidays everyone! :)

Christmas in January
by Ravnheart

My name is Denise and I'm from Germany.

All fractal images I've made during the last two years were created with a fractal program called Ultra Fractal.

Mostly I'm inspired by the beautiful fractal shapes itself while "playing" with the program, but things I see in real life also can be an inspiration. It's difficult to exemplify ... we are affected by a flood of impressions every day, so everything or anything can be an inspiration.

I'm thankful for all the given support here at Renderosity. I wish every viewer a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

My name is Randy Steinsland. I live in Barrie, Ontario, Canada which is one hour north of Toronto.

For my photo "Christmas II", I had put some Christmas decorations in a tree in my backyard (a few weeks  before it snowed) hoping to get some photos that I could use as Christmas cards. A good snowfall and a well lit afternoon was all I needed and this is how it turned out.

My camera is a Canon Rebel XTI . This is my first digital camera and I absolutely love it. With digital I can easily take fifty pictures of the same subject and have no worries of the outcome.

Being a member of Renderosity has certainly helped improve my photos and Bryce work. Seeing what others are doing is inspiring to say the least. It has driven me to put more care and attention in what I'm doing in an attempt to match the quality of what I see daily throughout Renderosity and I thank you all for that.

For all of you out there I do sincerely wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year! I look forward to seeing the world through your eyes and your art in 2008.

My name is Ewa, I'm from Poland and I am artist who felt in love in fractal art. As an amateur, my biggest success is winning a Benoit Mandelbrot Fractal Art Contest 2007.

I used Ultra Fractal 3.05. No postwork except title, because I am a UF-purist.

Inspiration? Art of creators I admire, Music I listen to and People I love.

I wish You all Love and Peace. Very simple, but so needed every single day.

I'm Linda McCarthy, and live in San Diego, California.

The image was created in Ultra Fractal with post-render contrast tweak, sharpen and border work done in Photo-Paint.

The inspiration for this image was Christmases past, specifically Christmases celebrated when I was a teenager in the late late 50's early 60's. The colors and ornament-like designs are reminscent of that time.

I wish each of you who celebrate Christmas, a glorious Christmas and the happiest of this wondrous holiday season all of you here at Renderosity. May your lives be filled with the hope and joy representative therein- all year long!

My name is Tunde King and I am from Australia.

I put a candle and tinsel in a soft box and used my Canon400d camera on a tripod.

My inspiration came from wanting to make a postcard similar to what we can by at any shop and keep up the Christmas spirit in the Photography Gallery for my friends.

I'd like to wish a Merriest Christmas filled with joy and love to the Renderosity staff and all my Friends.

My name is Jo McQuillan and I live on the South Coast of Western Australia.

I have had no training in Photography and am self-taught.
The only camera I have is a Sony DSC-S650 7.2 megapixel Digital Camera.
I enjoy snapping shots whenever I get the opportunity.

This small decoration it's-self was the inspiration.
After gracing our tree for at least 22 years, it is rather battered but just like seasons past, holds many fond memories for us.

Seasons Greetings to everyone at Renderosity. May you have peace, love and fond memories this year and every year thereafter. :)

Blessings,
Jo(Ra3vyn)

A Spot On The Tree
by rmtagg

My name is Rosemary.  Hubby and I live in beautiful Bucks County Pennsylvania. We are lucky to be near historic Doylestown and not too far from New Hope. The area is full of history and beautiful rolling hills, quaint shops and farmland too. This is a great place for a vacation! Think about visiting our community someday soon. :)

About 4 years ago, hubby got me a little point-and-shoot type 4.1 mega pix camera and I fell in love with digital photography. It was a nice little camera that I used for taking mostly pics for my jewelry web site. Time passed and I decided I wanted a digital SLR camera and was lucky enough again  that hubby got me the one I wanted for my birthday this past August.

Now I can not imaging not having a camera with me now all the time.  I love it!  I am learning and trying all kinds of different things.  I still need to learn to use some software.  I have CS2 and pretty much know how to open it, lol I did do one of the tutorials here and learned how to make a picture black & white with 1 item in color :)  So I will have to check out more of those tutorials here soon.

One thing I really wanted to learn was how to take nice pictures at night with holiday lights.  It is the season, so why not?  We went out to Peddlers Village a few weeks ago, froze our butts off and I took my very first holiday light pictures.  Not too bad but I knew I wanted to do better. So after our Christmas tree went up I started practicing and playing around with the camera.  I got some pretty nice shots that I cropped and posted here.

I wish everyone here a wonderful Christmas and/or Holiday Season depending on what you celebrate :)  For the New Year I wish everyone a year packed with wonderful, beautiful and delightful pictures  that you share with all of us here.

Hi everyone. My name is Bez. I live in the UK, with my husband, one of my 2 grown up children and 2 totally insane Laborador doggies.

I use Poser 7 and Photoshop CS for all my artwork. I usually stick to the filters and layer blend modes within Photoshop to create the effect I want, although I wouldn't be without my 2 favourite plugins - Flaming Pear Flood Filter and Mura's Cloud Filter.

The artists here at Rendo are a great inspiration to me. Sometimes I see something I like and it sparks off an idea, but usually what I start takes on a life of it's own and ends up nothing like I intended :)

I've made some wonderful friends here at Rendo. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season and a healthy and Prosperous New Year.
