Description

Submitted on 2004-02-25 22:40:22 Wisdom Once a Great Wizard, Put forth such a test. To look for the heart, In the finding a Quest. To take up the challenge, Were Brothers three. Alchemist, Warrior, And Wizard to be. Behind them unknown, Was the last of their score. The smallest but, He would get there before. Saving them all, From a terrible fate. By taming the dragon, That guarded the gate. Shocked they were, Their hearts stopped with fear. At finding their baby brother here. He told them to stop, It was a silly Quest. To go out to look, For what resides in your chest! D.M.Purnell Feb 24,2004 (( I created this for the last contest jugged and announced today March,3 my 4 sons were my muses so this is for them ))

A truly enjoyable rhyme! Baby brothers can and often lead the way! That's because they get to share in the experiences of the older ones without always having to undergo the test! Hugs for you and your muses! Bravo!

As the 'oldest' of 'nine' I sure do identify. .... I think maybe us 'oldest' are clearing the woods of trees, creating a path, so that our 'youngest' don't have to do so? .... I think we get caught up in all of 'this' and 'forget' what we need and are at times? .... excellently written .... thumbs up!
