LIFE WINE
Love; like fine wine ,
You should have no regrets.
The older you are,
The better you get.
Just like that wine,
The years that are early.
Are bitter ,tangy,
Battered ,and surly.
The middle years,
Are of moderate flavor.
Not great are they all,
But some you could savor.
As you get older ,
Just like a wine of full body,
You go from just cute ,
To a real hotty.
Fuller in wisdom,
Like fuller in taste.
Your one hot vintage,
Too good to waste.
Never will you ,
Go past your prime.

A GATHERING OF FRIENDS
A gathering of friends,
In the meadow clear.
Hear the bell tole,
Drawing them here.
A potluck encompassing ,
Each of their cultures.
There will be nothing ,
Left for any vultures.
Bringing pen,paper ,paints,
Music, laughter,Friendly feints.
Dance till dawn,
The midnight sway.
These friends,
Chase the blues away.
Thank you friends for,
Joining me here.
A hug ,a laugh,
Smile away that tear.
For moving me ,
In ways I can not explain.
For making me grin ,
Inspite of the pain.
Come to the party,
Enjoy your fill.
A never ending banquet,
Staving off all chills.
