Description

No idea what this is, hence the title "Wild Flower". I know about as much about flowers as I do about brain surgery. Perhaps someone can tell me what it is called? I think the shot was taken somewhere around Hoghton Bottoms, Lancashire.

I think it is Purple Loosestrife,Lythrum salicaria. It likes damp or even wet round its feet, I'd love to grow the culivated sorts of it in my garden but it doesn't rain enough in Bournemouth! A really wonderful clear macro!!!
