Description

Meadow gave us a bit of a scare yesterday. I came home from seeing janeeden to hear that meadow had gone to jump on the sofa & not quite made it & had fallen back on her back legs, which as she is almost 15 are not the strongest. I rang the vets to see if Phillip could see her but while they were getting in touch with him I decided to rest her that night & see how she was, I was told if I wasn't happy with her to take her in next day. Dave stayed downstairs with the girls just to make sure she was alright & didn't attempt to get on the sofa's. As Phillip is on his holidays next week I decided to take her to be checked out. So after she had had her breakfast & cuppa tea, off she went. She was better for walking & I walked her outside the vets & Phillip checked how she was walking. She had a good examination inside & he said to give her little & often strolls & as the girls go swimming he said to make sure she swims. She is on a light painkiller anyway so didn't need anything but have got other pills if I think she needs them. She came home, settled down & slept, then I got her out for a walk on the front , she had her first tea then back to a relaxing sleep. I have just had her out again, she was walking much better, she is wide awake now demanding her treats & her other half of her tea. Its so good to see her alert & feeling brighter. Still keeping her off the sofa's though. A case of Alabama foot rot was diagnosed about 30 miles from here in Lincoln, so best still be vigil. Sorry Jasmine!!!! Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. x

Glad to know that she's been responding to the light exercise. It's difficult to watch our beloved furry companions get on in years, though Meadow looks great for her age--no wonder with all the TLC she gets from you. Sincerely hope Jasmine's test come back negative...
