Description

I started this one as a simple pin-up type picture with welder girl at right, but it somehow morphed into a much larger scene, hence the overall lack of focus. While not quite canon, this one is based in the U.S.S. Sulaco from the Aliens franchise. I grimed it up a little more than the real deal which put it a bit more on the Battlestar Galactica side of things, but that's not bad in my book. Setup and rendered in Vue 6, postwork in Photoshop. Due to the amount of objects in the scene, I built it in three separate scenes, each with about 1.5 million polys and 85 lights, each of which were then composited together in Photoshop. Always love to know how intentions get developed or sidetracked. I won't belabor details as they are counter-concept at this point. Suffice to say smoking near acetylene tanks and the idea of welding with an open jump suit cause my imagination to see some nasty pictures. Time to reset the accident clock. ; )

Another masterpiece! The incredible level of detail is what sets your work apart from the crowd, and this is no exception. Although I agree with Deci6el, the casual smoking is also unfortunately realistic. Brilliant work, my friend.

You never do things half way and this is another brilliant piece. I love all the action, it's kind of like reading a story from left to right, ending up with the gal taking a smoke break. Wonderful!
