Description

Letting sit for a week, I have completed postwork and ready to submit to this years EXPOSE Book entry. Hope you have enjoyed seeing WIP efforts to develop scene. 1,324 objects, 69 volumetric lights, 29,443,772 polygons. Considering the number of lights and objects, an interior scene covering over 600 ft, and a render setting of 16inches at 240dpi... 267 hrs is understandable. Planes purchased from others have been taken apart in Modo and reworked to have their wings folded. The Yorktown, its interior, radial engines, welding torches etc. are all mine. If you are interested in the extras I modeled for the interior, more detailed door openings, electrica, piping, valves...please contact me directly.

IMPRESSIVE! I love particularly looking at each sailor man, with his own "life" and particular employment. Something else : 267 hrs! Maybe the RR picture computing record....

Absolutly Amazing. Great detail. I noticed that the two formost planes have different american stars on them. Is this because they are part of different squadrons or a navy and a marine plane? Picture has the feel of action, good balance, eye flow, and lighting. Great job. Good luck on your submission. - Bob

Man, is this amazing work. Excellent job! It makes me wonder if you have a rendering farm or what kind of computer you have (even taking the render time into consideration). The attention to individuals at work, the details of the various jobs, the view out towards the destroyer escort and patrolling planes - fantastic job! Fantastic credible lightin, too. Keep up the good work! A 5 is not high enough for this work! :-)
