Description

According to legend, Mawu is the moon godess of the Fon people and twin to her sister, the Sun Goddess. I found the legend fascinating because I've seen no pictures of her which gives plenty of wiggle room for artistic license. As Goddess of the Night, I felt the eagle, representing freedom, and the owl, representing wisdom where good symbols for her. Hey thanks for all the well wishes for us on the storm. I live in Memphis, and we got mostly wind and flooding. And thanks everybody for taking the time to visit and comment.
