A stunning capture of a very acrobatic couple. It looks like he is balancing on her neck.

It must be great to see this in your own garden. Don't quote me, but I reckon your Damselflies are more colourful than ours?

Superb...could be an illustration in a zoologist's entomology book.

Top Class shot! They don't waste any time do they!

Still hoping they will come to my pond to breed one day, I've had the odd visitor but just in ones.

You post the most wonderful pictures from your pond, and every time, the thing that attracts me most is the surface tension around the lily pads. :P

insects really do have the strangest positions (the Kama Sutra would blush)...Love your insect closeups, and when you get the making love, they look like concoctions of cranes and tools and long rods and such. And besides them, you got beautiful hues and shapes and light and reflections---it's a beautiful shot even without the amorous DFlies. One of many wonderful insect closeups in your gallery. (Wouldn't you be surprised if you found out these were actually DFly porn stars, and they were doing this just for the camera?) Another beautiful and magical macro from your pond and surroundings.

(this is completely irrelevant, but years ago I dated a lady from India who could do just about everything in the Kama Sutra, and more. And she got me into some positions---I couldn't breathe or move my limbs---and I felt like the insects in this shot. When she asked why I was "so quiet," I gasped that I was slowly losing consciousness, and couldn't find my legs, arms or lungs. I took that a bad sign. It took 10 minutes to get the feeling back. If I did that today, I'd be in traction for the rest of the century...)
