Description

BUCK :o) There is a little story that goes with him. About 2 & a half months ago I got a text from Julie (Red Boys) to say her Husband Dave had found a puss cat sat in the middle of the road with blood all over him (he'd obviously been in an accident) & all the cars were just going round him :o( Dave stopped & put the little puss cat in his car, (he thought at first it was their cat Ted, thankfully he wasn't) & took him to the local vets were they looked after him. A little piece was put in the paper a few weeks later to see if his owner would come forward (he was found in a village, so its not as though he wandered round streets in a town) no one came forward so he went to 2nd Chance cat rescue. Julie was kept informed about him, she was told he was fine, he was about 8years old but had lost the sight in his left eye due to the accident Last week I asked Jule to see if he was still there, she rang Brenda who runs the rescue & she said he had gone out to a home but was returned because they had a kitten as well & the kitten had beaten him up, bless him. So I went to see him yesterday & today he is here. He is a big cat & seems very chilled out, has investigated the house, he hasn't met the girls yet, that won't be for a good few days until he is settled, he can hear them :o) By the time he meets them he will have our home smells on him but he will be in a cage I use when I get a pup, so that neither he nor them can get hurt, cats claws & dogs eyes don't mix :o) Dave & Christopher are going to make him a pen in the garden so he can get some fresh air & also meet the girls. So here is BUCK, named after Julies Dave, their last name is Buchan so we shortened it to BUCK :o) Doesn't mean we have forgotten Bernie, because he will always be in our hearts. Thanks for the lovely comments, so appreciated. xxx

Oh you are such a sweeheart to take him in. He deserves a loving home and that is what he finds with you and your family. He looks a bit like my Marley from the Colouring. Very beautiful Cat. I never understand why people do not have the time to stop and help an injured Animal? I guess they fear costs and responsibility. Never in a million years could I drive past an Animal or Person in need of help. Maybe because I have Dogs and cats myself and would lOVE to think that someone would help them if they needed help. Bless you my friend.

What a big beautiful boy he is!! I know that you would never, ever in a million years forget Bernie and so does he:-) In fact, I'm convinced that Bernie sent Buck to you because he knew what a wonderful loving and caring home he would have with your family. Give Buck a big hug from his Aunty Sylvia all the way from Darkest Africa:-)

Oh what a lovely tale with a happy ending - I'm sure he'll be the happiest puss once he's settled in and met the girls. They're used to cats so just hoping he gets on with dogs :-) I shall wipe the tears from my eyes now (I'm terrible reading stuff like this about cats/dogs!!)

Bringing Buck into your home doesn't mean Bernie is forgotten. It only means that you have a very big heart. If there's anything I've learned, it's that our hearts are expandable, able to contain anyone who needs our love. Bless you for giving him such a loving and caring home.
