I am not sure what this ship's function is; maybe a ferry to transport personnel and containerized cargo from a large starship to a planetary surface? The large docking tunnel is a neat feature and adds extra interest to the design.

Yes, I agree. There is a resemblance to the ship from Event Horizon. You've changed your style to a slightly less 'greebled' and more smooth and elegant design.
