Description
I took this photo in Sunderbans, during a ministry trip. Sunderbans, the delta region adjacent to the Bay of Bengal is a land of beauty and neglect. It has very limited infrastructure, just a hospital or two, inaccessible for most or prohibitive by cost. It has a land that has been repeatedly devastated by natural calamities of floods and cyclones. Out of 103 islands full of crocodiles, mangrove forests, and vanishing tigers, only 54 islands are inhabited by people. But even these impoverished and neglected people have dreams. It is my prayer that every dream will come true for these marginalized, and isolated people... and not just here but everywhere in the world the broken reed will not be trampled but healed, and every smoking flax will sprout new life, that every one destitute and crushed will be lifted up. May every dream come true!

THat is a wonderful endeavor - the fulfillment of dreams. "That every one destitute and crushed will be lifted up" - says it all. Excellent photo too, thanks for sharing!

Dear Richard, I dont know what conflicts could develop from lifting up the crushed and destitute, or in providing medical care where no hospitals exist or in providing a livelihood when all is gone.

a wonderful thought but unfortunately they would conflict with all the religious factions in the world (other words) money grubbing people preventing "every dream become true"

Thats true Richard, greedy people, greedy industries, greedy corporates & greedy nations are the reason the world is divided into "haves" and "have-nots" ... I only hope and work towards "every dream" coming true (in my small way) for those who are lost or crushed
