Description
Another picture inspired by a model from Google SketchUp Warehouse (The Golden Pavilion or Kinkaku-ji).
This scene features my favorite birds the Red Crown Cranes (from Ken Gilliland's Sonbird Remix Shorebirds Vol 1). The trees are from Xfrog. Please zoom for a better view.

...je prenais chaque jour ma barque, pour quitter ma maison sur pilotis, je ramais tranquillement jusqu'au rivage d'une île peu lointaine. Arrivé sur la berge, après avoir amarré mon frêle esquif, je m'approchais doucement d'un arbre séculaire, caché par de hautes herbes ou des buisson luxuriants. Après dix bonnes minutes de silence, les oiseaux aux grandes plumes et aux pattes démesurées, revenaient sur l'îlot, dans un grand bruissement d'ailes. Je ne sais ce qui était le plus majestueux à observer, de leur sens aigu de la surveillance, ou de leur plaisir à choisir chacun une branche, et à y rester des heures, à contempler le point d'eau, ou à me surveiller discrètement dans les buissons. A chaque fois, chaque jour, que je me levais de ma cachette, un bruissement étonnant de papier froissé et de moulin à vent, cassait le silence paradisiaque de l'endrpoit. Alors tout un clan de ces échassiers, tels de lourds avion, prenait son envol pour trouver d'autres perchoirs moins fréquentés !... I took my boat every day, to leave my house on stilts, I rowed quietly to the shore of an island somewhat far away. Arrived on shore, after my frail boat moored, I slowly approached an ancient tree, hidden by tall grass or lush bush. After ten minutes of silence, birds and feathers to large disproportionate legs, returned to the island in a great flurry of wings. I do not know what was the most impressive to watch, their sense of supervision, or they enjoy each choose a branch, and stay for hours, gazing at the water point, or quietly watching me in the bushes. Each time, every day, I rose from my hiding place, a rustle of surprise and crumpled paper windmill, broke the silence of the heavenly endrpoit. So an entire clan of these waders such heavy aircraft took off to find other less frequented perches!

I like the painterly Japanese feeling. The colors of the under vegetation are fabulous and the light is wonderful, as is the waterfall. The Golden Pavilion gives the right final touch. A true masterpiece!
