My failed entry for the Halloween contest this year. I guess I didnt win because I forgot to put the word "Carnival" somewhere in my image thereby making my subject matter unclear.
I think they should have better guidelines next year, so that the theme is more closely followed, otherwise, they shouldn't even bother with a theme at all.
Needless to say, I'm a disappointed sore loser. Then again, there's always next year though.
Anyway, everything in this scene is my own creation. Base mesh modeling was done in Maya or ZBrush. Sculpting in ZBrush. UV mapped in Maya. Textured in Photoshop & ZBrush. Rendered in ZBrush. Postworked in Photoshop.
Total polycount for all my models was 22,561,792 faces, which managed to bring my rig to its knees.
Im going to post a WIP image of my base meshes / workflow later if anyone is interested.

Nice job! I didn't enter the Halloween contest was too busy with the Cinema 4D contest which I placed 3rd (voted on by two mods and the sponsers) winning zbrush, looks like I've got a lot to learn re. zbrush. Anyway, a really nice image, sorry you didn't win anything, but that's sometimes how the community voting cookie crumbles.

I thought you had a great chance,I love the theme you styled and the modeling ect shows you made alot of effort in comaparrison to some using premad emodels and hitting render..Oh well mate.Love the image all the same,cheers cal
