This is wonderful stuff! I love the textures in it. As for clarity, I discovered that my photo-editing program (Photoshop, but I'd bet GIMP is similar in this regard) can display a richer color range than my web browser. Now I open my image in the Firefox before I upload it to make sure it's not gotten "wrecked".

That's some heavy load she's carrying! I'm glad my back aches from just weeding and not lugging a load like that around! Monday's used to feel like this .. but now everyday's a weekend, grins. Love this one! What a fab find! Hmmm .. she looks a bit - how shall we say - enciente?? That alone would give her a back ache!! It looks good to me Nancy, clear and of good quality.

This is just a bit reminiscent of fossil impressions in rock ... I love the textures. Well, I hope the load is soon lightened. Well done.

Dear Nancy, it is already Monday, and I think your fractal is very beautiful ;-) It resembles a structure of various types of wood. The colors and detail are beautiful. Lovely work. Your gallery is amazing, really <3 Thank you for your nice comment on 'my boy'. You've made me very happy with your kind words, and with everything you said. Cheers, Mies.

your fractals are always very visceral as well as abstract, and this has both. It actually feels like a woodcarving, or something similar. And I can see the person bent over in as if he/she is carrying the weight of the sky and landscape above them. But it's more: You have the twisted sinew of muscle and of pain literally carved into the piece. And it's against a flat background, which makes the pained person all the more stark. And then, it's also an abstract design, with tension points and release points (positive, for this bent over person) and highlights of light against the darker sections: It almost seems like it's carved in some luminous stone. Like all your work, it has much life in it, and very concrete imagery coming through, while it remains very much abstract carving & painting. (You always have a feeling of 3 dimensions, even though this is a 2 dimensional piece.) I hope you're well, Nancy, I haven't been online much at all in the last months; but it's always a pleasure to come here & see your work. I hope life is finding you well, and I'll drop you a line to see that life is treating you as you deserve it to treat you (which is, highly). A beautiful evocative piece, beautifully "modeled," and a pleasure to be here after so long. Much peace & light & love your way. Hope you're doing well this near-fall...
