Description

It's time to post the Persian Pavilion... I'm a bit late with my planning... the second street was planed to be finished in september... the next one is almost ready, it remain 3 pavilions to do, for the total of 23 pavilions about the Nation's Street, for the first documentary of the project. It also missed the 4 bridges, at each sides of this part of the expo. The background of Paris buildings and the crownd are planed to be realized parallely to the second part of the project, the part of the old medieval Paris. Also, I must continue to work on the scenario of the first film, during the next winter, renderings of animations must be done at the end of the 2008 spring. As you could see, it remain much work... I always have good motivation to continuer further, just unfortunetely lots of lack of time, much work in my job, and of course, I'm a bit tired... I hope there will have better time in next september ;-) Thanks you all to continue to support my work and this project, and thanks much for your always very good and kind comments... ;-)

Je l'ai manquée celle-là pendant que j'étais en vacances... Wow! C'est impressionnant! J'aime les petits détails de la texture, les arbres et les gens :) Toujours aussi beau ton projet :)

this is a beautiful, wonderfully executed project. In this one, I have two suggestions. The first is the figures . . . they're a little "render-y". You might experiments with compositing images of people from the time, rather than doing a render of a model. Also on the photographic verisimilitude issue, the contrast characteristics of a render are different than film, especially old time film like this would have been. The sharpness of detail in the architecture says "render" -- when silver halide film sees sharp black/white contrasts, particular the plates of of 1900, there's a fogging of the highlight. Its a useful artifact to copy, because it will "read" as "of the period" to a viewer's eye. Those are just small suggestions, though, this is an amazing piece, and a wonderful project
