Description

Sure one of the scenes i wanted to come up with was suppose to include some car(s), because it's a public object of daily use. It just had to be something more special and to differ from nowadays car appearances, it had to be some Oldtimer. Looking through my collected models folders, i came across this 57 Chevy model, which gave me the option with all the single parts included, to retexture it with a 60s style look. Viewing the car with those added textures in a test render, the above scene came across my mind, when people were travelling the Route 66 with huge shiny cars in the old days. I've tried to achive the look of an Arizona desert area for this event. (Nice "57 Chevy" model without textures found in a free pack - no author named - from fantasticarts.com, a good website, which seems to be erased since a longer time ... - i've added textures for the chevy in Vue 5; James and Jessi models from Poser 6, hand-tweaked Terrain produced in GeoControl, rest Vue 5 and a little postwork)

This excellent work! The desert, the car and even the models are posed just right. The composition fits just right with what you wrote too...Excellent accomplishment!

WOw, if you were going after realism, I must say that you have succeeded. I gotta make several observations here: First, you attention to detail is applauded. The vehicle pulled over to the shoulder of the road, the dirt lapping over the asphalt, and the posing on the characters looks believable, not like they are stiff lifeless maniquins. The sun and atmosphere is well thought out, even the graduating density of the ecosystem is very conviencing. Excellent work and it gets my vote. BRAVO!
